"If we don’t know how to identify what we are enslaved to, we won’t know how to administer a medicine. Part of our problem is we are trying to connect to Hashem before we’ve freed ourselves from our prisons, appetites, תאוות, obligations to our stuff. Whether its a wall or a window that is still smudged, how can we try to connect?"
